Plug
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 9, 2026
Plug helps you discover, save, and plan visits to places. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier when you sign in. We also store your saved places, likes, hidden places, plans, city preferences, searches, place taps, and links you share to Plug.
If you enable notifications, we store your device push token so we can send updates when shared links finish saving. With your permission, Plug uses your device location to personalize distances and surface nearby recommendations. We request iOS location permission first, and your coordinates are used only to rank suggestions in the moment — they are not stored.
How We Use Information
We use this information to provide app functionality, personalize recommendations, save your plans and stash, process shared social links, improve discovery quality, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Service Providers
Plug uses service providers for authentication, hosting, databases, push notifications, maps/place information, and AI-assisted place enrichment. These providers process information only as needed to operate and improve Plug.
Tracking and Advertising
Plug does not sell personal information and does not use your activity for third-party advertising tracking.
Your Choices
You can turn notifications off in the app Settings screen. You can delete your account in Settings, which removes your Plug account and associated app data unless we are legally required to retain something. You can also contact us at [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy as Plug changes. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
